Problems with data refresh in the service
Hello everyone
I have a huge problem. I publish a report to the service with data updated to date. Upload perfectly: see image
When you update the data automatically, the data reverts to the date 19-02. It no longer shows me the data I uploaded until today 27-03.
The access door works perfectly well and so do the connections: see image
Someone can help me fix it. Thank you very much

Hi Syndicate_Admin ,
Thank you for being a part of the Microsoft Fabric community.
It seems the issue is related to your data source. Please try the following steps to resolve it.
- You mentioned the problem occurs in Power BI Service. Does it only happen after a specific date? If so, ensure all updates to your data source are completed before refreshing.
- After updating the data source, verify if the dataset refreshes correctly in Power BI Service.
- Create a new PBIX file, connect it to the same data source, and refresh it. Check if the updated data appears correctly.
- Ensure there are no filters or transformations in Power Query that could be restricting data updates.
- Additionally, verify whether the on-premises data gateway is effectively retrieving the latest data.
Test these steps and let me know your findings. I hope this helps.

Hello, thank you for your reply.
On the desktop, all reports are updated normally and uploaded well and with updated data.
The update is carried out well in the service but the data all returns to February 19, in all the reports that connect to that database.
I've already tried to make a new report and it does the same. I upload it with data to today and when updated it goes back to February 19.
I don't think there are a filters in Power Query because this happens with 10 different files.
Is there a way in Power Query to place a filter that affects all reports?
5. And obviously it does not bring the recent data, how can I verify that ebel service?
Thank you very much again.

Hi Syndicate_Admin ,
- Power Query does not have a built-in feature to apply a global filter across multiple reports. However, you can achieve a similar effect by creating a common table with the filter criteria and linking this table to your other tables in each report.
- Check if the ebel service is bringing in the latest data.
Ensure that the on-premises data gateway is properly configured and fetching new data. If not, restarting the gateway might help.
Power BI Service may cache old data, causing issues. Try clearing the cache or manually refreshing the dataset to resolve this.
You can also test roles in Power BI Service to verify if data is being fetched correctly. Navigate to the workspace, select the dataset, and use the "Test data as role" option to view data as a specific user or role.
Although you mentioned there are no filters in Power Query, it might be beneficial to revisit the query settings to ensure there are no hidden transformations or filters affecting the data. If necessary, create a new query from scratch to check if the issue persists.

Possible reasons include:
The data source has changed and only contains records up to those dates.
Persistent filter is enabled, remembering previous bookmark or slicer selections.

Hello, thank you for your answer.
I already checked both options and the source did not change, and I disabled the persistent filters. It still doesn't work.
