Problem with the Gateway in Power BI

Dear:

Last week, unexpectedly, they let me run all the automatic updates.
My published reports have two types of data sources: excel files located on my PC and database tables from a server. I have both standard and personal versions of the gateway installed.
Now, in the standard gateway it makes a perfect connection to the database server but fails to connect to the files on my PC and vice versa: the personal mode gateway connects perfectly with the files on my PC but does not connect to the database server.
I've already uninstalled and reinstalled Power BI Desktop and already uninstalled and reinstalled the latest versions of the gateway multiple times, cleared cache, restarted the server, etc. and didn't fix the problem.
I understand that it must be a problem with the configuration of the connections but I can't find the solution.
In both cases, whether by testing one way or the other, the returned error is always that you can't establish the connection because of erroneous credentials.
Help please thank you

Thank you all very much.
I've already fixed this by changing the location of the files to OneDrive

Hi Adrian,

Antonio from Peru writes to you, I have a similar problem, due to your answer I have already copied the file to my ONe Drive and I get this error message at the time e update:

{"error":{"code":"Premium_ASWL_Error","pbi.error":{"code":"Premium_ASWL_Error","parameters":{},"details":[{"code":"Premium_ASWL_Error_Details_Label","detail":{"type":1,"value":"Cloud data source setting is not allowed refresh through gateway."}}],"exceptionCulprit":1}}} Table: Tabla 1

I hope you can support me.

Thank you in advance and greetings.error1.jpeg

Previously, connections worked perfectly from the personal mode gateway.

Conexion.jpg

Under "assignment" if I select the "Create a connection" option...
Nueva Conexion.jpg
I see x default "cloud" as the connection type and the following warning:
Currently, these data streams, Gen2 data streams, and Datamarts do not support these cloud connections. To create personal cloud connections for these experiences, use the Data Flows editor or Datamarts in Get Data.

At the same time, in the standard mode gateway, "misconfiguration" appears. If I deploy it:
Configuracion incorrecta.jpg

the connection to the DB is OK but not the connection to excel on my PC

... And if I want to "add to gateway"
Credenciales no validas.jpg

returns: "Invalid connection credentials" (when on the other gateway it connects perfectly)

ok, on your first screen (personal mode) I can only see MySQL as a source, no local folder.
For standard gateway there are two sources listed.

To enable a connection to your lokal maschine you should check access policies from the web into your maschine. Its the same thing you would like to connect to a company`s network folder.
You have to enable access to this folder (Firewall rules) and provide a qualified server name where network folder is located. Therefore maybe you have to provide the full name of your local maschine. Not just C:\path\....

a connection from standard gateway worked fine with your local excels before your updates?
What message do you get for this conncetion under connection section in service?
This connection to you PC is online?

Regards

Good

It's exactly the same for me.

Have you been able to find a solution?

Thanks a lot
