I'm working on drill-through reporting and have an issue with filters not applying.
The easiest way to get everything to work on the drill-through page is to allow "keep all filters". And this works great. However my visual won't display correctly if I do that based upon the way I've set things up. No problem, right? I should be able to pick and choose what filters come through.
But I simply cannot get one filter to carry over from the higher-level report. I've read other posts here but none seem to duplicate my issue.
Below is a shot of the report I want to drill down from.
This is filtered several ways but the ones I need to carry through are "study", "measure", and "biz/resi". When you highlight a bar on the chart and choose "drill through" it will take you to the report below.
Works as intended, however as mentioned I need to remove several of those filters. Specifically I'm removing "timeframe" and "top 1 translated date". But as soon as I uncheck "keep all filters" and rerun the drill through it will only filter on one item (see below).
I've tried manually adding these filters back in but they won't stick once I re-run the drill through. Any ideas?
Very new to PowerBI and would love any suggestions.
Here's my relationships:
@bgrimcos , Not very clear. But once you uncheck, Keep all Filter. All the filter you want to pass need to added to drill through filters
The information you have provided is not making the problem clear to me. Can you please explain with an example.
Power BI Drill Through/selective Drill Through- More than one level: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCAAvpppQmk
Thank you for taking a look at my example.
Maybe I can restate a little more simply.
Let's define the page I'm drilling through from as the source page. And the page I'm drilling through to as the drill-through page.
On the drill-through page I have "keep all filters" set to Off. Only the Measure filter applies.
Because I need to filter by Biz/Resi I add that to the drill through filters:
Going back to the source page I have Biz/resi set as a filter as you can see here:
However when I drill through from this page the filter does not apply.
Here's how the drill-through page filters look after I drill through:
Note that the Biz/resi is set to (All) even though the page I came from was filtered to "residential".
I'm trying to find a way to get that filter to apply to the drill-through page from the source page.
