Problem with diacritics mark.

Hi ,I use Biq Query (database) and Direct Query.  I got error "OLE DB or ODBC error: [Expression.Error] We couldn't fold the expression to the data source. ".

I have slicer with  values Pardubice, Senovážné, Ledenice, Poděbrady.

When I set up Pardubice,Ledenice. it works normally . When I set up Senovážné , Poděbrady , then error will appear.

Problem is the diacritics mark - ž, á . Is it possible to fix it?

Hi @pstanek

How about changing the values in the slicer without diacritics?

After reading many similar problems, It seems using import mode can avoid this problem.

Best Regards

Maggie

Funny is, that the same problem is caused by date- time column, when I use it as datetime format column .

Format is

2018-07-03T11:06:34.164000

.

When I use it as text , it works, but  I am not able to use date-time function.

When I change something in query editor, it leads to query, that is not supported by direct query.

I agree , We will change parameter , If  we don´ t find a solution in Power BI. But it will require our IT to create new column to database,  so it is our last choice.
