Problem with Auto Refresh - SQL Server

I am having issues getting Power BI to automatically refresh. I'd like to send out daily reports with the latest data.

I get the following error:

Failure details: The last refresh attempt failed because of an internal service error. This is usually a transient issue. If you try again later and still see this message, contact support.

The MySql source doesn't support encrypted connections.  The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Table: Query1.

Any idea how to resolve? Many thanks in advance for your time to help me.

Hi @emutuc  - In Power BI data connections, can you check the settings

Go to Data Source Settings → Select your MySQL connection>>Click Edit Permissions → Under Encryption, select "Do not encrypt">>Save and test the connection

hello @rajendraongole1 do you have any more suggestions.  This is the error message I get

Data source error: The MySql source doesn't support encrypted connections. (Source at 144.208.70.101;nexusb8_app_insights.). The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Table: Query1.

Hi @emutuc  - can you run the command in mysql

SHOW VARIABLES LIKE 'require_secure_transport';

If it returns ON, the server requires SSL, and Power BI won't connect without an encrypted session.
If it returns OFF, unencrypted connections are allowed.

disabled it by using below command, if it is turn on.

SET GLOBAL require_secure_transport = OFF;

check the mysql version also, if you are using older it may not support to fetch via power bi.

Hope this helps.

@rajendraongole1 Nothing happens after I type "SHOW VARIABLES LIKE 'require_secure_transport';
Do you have any other suggestions?
