Hello,
I am trying to create a PDF data model diagram using PowerBi.
My tables are in Dataverse.
I have Adobe Acrobat Pro (25.001.20432).
I use PowerBi Version: 2.137.952.0 64-bit (octobre, 2024).
When I open a pbix file in PowerBi, the Report View window is displayed with the following message “Build visuals with your data. Select or drag fields from the Data pane onto the report canvas.”. After choosing the Model view, I see my data model diagram. Then I choose “File => Export => Export to PDF”. The problem is Adobe Acrobat displays the Report View content. It seems PowerBi does not send the diagram to Adobe Acrobat. Any idea how to fix it?
Thanks in advance!
JP
Hi @JPDésilets
Just wanted to follow up if you had a chance to view the documentation and get an understanding of Power BI helper.
If it hasn't answered your request, You can even raise an idea at Fabric Ideas forum for creating a PDF data model diagram using PowerBi.
Hope this helps!

Hi @JPDésilets
The export feature in Power BI is used to export Visualization in your report and may not export the model.
However, you can try using Power BI helper tool to get details about your model.
Follow this link for step by step guide on how to export you model.

Hello Deku,
You've answered the question. Thank you very much.
But I understand that we can't export a data model diagram to a PDF using PowerBi's functionalities and that you need to purchase third-party software to do so.
Do you know if PowerBi is working on a project to develop this functionality?
If you're in the data business, it's fundamental to have a visual representation of the tables you have in your system. Whether it's a global or partial representation of the whole system.
Thanks again!
Have a nice day.
