PowerBi using CPU and adding multiplies processes after it's closed

I'm encountering a strange issue with Power Bi that impacts the whole system: When I close a large file the program keeps running in the background for a long time, and even adds processes. In doing so it's using up the CPU and slowing everything down.

To be clear, the program isn't showing as open in the taskbar, and no other PBI files are open. Here's a screenshot of a recent occurance, taken 5 minutes after the file was closed:

The only way to stop it is to use the Task Manager to End Process, but I can't help thinking that's not the right approach.

Any ideas what's causing this?
