Turning to the Pros.

I would like to add an icon the Plan Var column if the amount is greater than zero, return positive; less than zero, return negative.

Hi @Godislove22222,

Assuming I understood your question correctly, it seems like you have some currency values, and you want to mark them as positive or negative using icons. The below steps should help you out -

  • Select the table/ matrix
  • In the Visualization pane, right-click on the Plan Var field in the Values bucket
  • Select Conditional Formatting -> Icons

  • Set the following rules as shown in the screenshot below

  • Notice, we are applying the logic that if value >= 0 and < MAX, then Positive. Similarly. if value < 0 and >= MIN, then Negative
  • Select suitable icons from the list, or import new ones if needed

Voila! The icons will appear with the data if you choose the "Left of Data" option in the Icon layout. Play around with the settings in the dialog box as needed.

My problem is that I have 7 columns in my matrix.  I want to include the ICON for just the Plan Var column and not the other 6.  Any suggestions?
