Good morning,
I'm not new to power bi but I am new to Gateway.. I have a simple question...
From Power bi "DESKTOP" can I use my gateway connection ? if yes, how and where...
Power BI is on my PC yes
Gateway is in the cloud Yes
But I'm thinking since Power Bi is connected to my email account via cloud, maybe there is a way to access gateway ...
If Not, what is the process ? Connecting my Power BI Desktop to my server, publish and from there change the datasource to the gateway is that it ?
Hi, @Anonymous
The on-premises data gateway acts as a bridge to provide quick and secure data transfer between on-premises data (data that isn't in the cloud) and several Microsoft cloud services. It depends if you can access the data source.
Here is what happens when you interact with an element that is connected to an on-premises data source.
For further information, please refer to the following documents.

Allan

No offense but this is not what I am looking for...
I want to know if there is a way to use some sort of gateway connector using Power Bi Desktop.
