PowerBi Dashboard embedded into PowerPoint Touchscreen Problems

Dear all,

I would like to use some PowerBi Dashboards on a 55" Touchscreen with connected PC. Therefor I have embedded some Dashboards into PowerPoint and I would like to use the presentation mode so that the slides will move after some minutes or can be also controlled by the touchscreen. Everything is working quite well exept the control of the filters or clicks in the PowerBi Dashboards. With a mouse the control is working well but with the Touchscreen I can just swipe between the different slides and if I "click" on a control in PowerBi Dash there is just an additional bar with control elements.

If PowerPoint is not in presenter mode the "click" by Touchscreen is working well.

Is there a solution to solve my problem?

Thanks in advance

Bese

    Hi Bese ,

You are experiencing touch interaction issues on the Power BI dashboard embedded in PowerPoint while in presentation mode. Here are some suggestions that may help resolve this issue:

1.Ensure that both PowerPoint and Power BI are updated to the latest versions. Software updates typically include bug fixes and improvements that address compatibility issues.

2.Try using a different embedding method, and later on, go in and see if it makes a difference

      Thanks for your response,

I can confirm that both versions are up to date. Unfortunately there is also no other option to embed the PowerBi slides into PowerPoint with live data.

In general everything is working really well exept that PowerPoint is handling the touchscreen inputs not as mouseclicks

  • Unfortunatelly I still face this issue. Is there someone who has a similar setup with PowerBi Dashboards to be shown on a touchscreen TV. So for me the embedded reports in PowerPoint is exaclty what I need exept that the touch inputs are not able to select filters e.g. in the PowerBi Dashboards.
