PowerBi Connection to Google Analytics - Browser Not Supported

Has anybody else run into this message and know how to fix it?  I am trying to connect to Google Analytics but can't even get to the place to sign in because this "Browser Not Supported" message prevents me from moving on.

I have chrome, and updated internet explorer, and even downloaded firefox directly from the prompt and the message still popped up.  I also tried changing the default browswer on my computer without any effect.

Any suggestions would be helpful!

Could you please share about your Browser version here? I am using Internet Explorer 11 under Windows 10, and Google Analytics connected correctly at my side.

Based on the error message and the image, I suspect the current running system is Windows 7 SP1. If you have already installed the supported Browser, close Power BI desktop (you may also consider to perform a system restart ) and then open it again to check if this time would make it work. If you haven’t install Internet Explorer 11, then check:
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-sg/download/internet-explorer-11-for-windows-7-details.aspx
Please choose the right platform and the proper language before start downloading.

If issue still insists, enable the trace log under Power BI Desktop:
Under Power BI Desktop, Navigate to File -> Options and settings -> Options -> Diagnostics, check the Enable tracing check box there. After that, reproduce the steps to connect to Google Analytics, once finished, click the Open trace folder link, find the created logs, if available, upload them into OneDrive and then post the shared link here. We will help to take a look.

Appreciate the help!  I unintalled PowerBI and reinstalled it and that seems to have fixed the problem.

      Thanks again!

      Hi Charlie,

A few years later and I've got this same issue. I uninstalled, reinstalled PowerBi, placed Microsoft Edge and Google as default browsers, cleared cache but it still doesn't let me log into Google Analytics from PowerBi. The same error script shows up.

How can I send you the tracing file so that you can have a look or is there any other alternative I can try to get it fixed?

      Thanks,

      Oana
