To control the sorting order in a Power BI matrix when drilling up or down through hierarchy levels, you need to:
Create a numeric sort order column for each hierarchy level that defines the desired display order.
In the data model, select the description column, then use "Sort by Column" to sort it based on the corresponding sort order column.
This way, the matrix will follow your custom order instead of defaulting to alphabetical sorting.
