PowerBI file grows too large after adding a column

Hello All,

i have a small PowerBI file, about 5MB pulling data from few excel sheets.

I tried to remove some of the unwanted Rows in the file.

so I added a Index column, and use M to add another column to label the unwanted row.

try if [alarm class] = #"Added Index" {[Index] - 1} [alarm class]
then "delete"
else "keep"
otherwise null

at last i use the filter function to filter out the unwanted rows.

when i hit "Close and Apply", the file start loading data from the first excel sheet, but the size of the file just keep growing.. 9GB and counting... immediately i notice i probaly done something wrong, so i had to close the file.

Can someone help me on this topic?

i think i probably done something wrong in the M portion, but in the preview, was showing eaxactly how i wanted. (preview attached)
