Hello,
I was planning to use powerbi-jupyter (https://github.com/microsoft/powerbi-jupyter). Unfortunatly I am receiving a "Failed to load model class" (issue raised on GitHub by someone else but not resolved: https://github.com/microsoft/powerbi-jupyter/issues/46).
I was now wondering if this can be related to the Power-Bi licence? My organisation has a "Free-Licence" and they are trying to restrict sharepoint services as far as possible. However, on app.powerbi.com I can create a new report just fine.
I am using Jupyter Notebook Version: 7.0.7
Thanks for the help!
Best regards
Fabian
Hi Fabian,
1. Check Model File and Path. Confirm that the model class file exists and the path you've specified in your Jupyter notebook is correct. Validate Model Class Code. If the model class is a custom Python class, ensure the code is error-free and the class is defined properly.
2. Reinstall Required Libraries: If your model class relies on specific Python libraries, make sure they are installed correctly.
python - JupyterLab: Failed to load model class 'HBoxModel' - Stack Overflow
3. Error Logs: Examine any detailed error messages or logs that come with the error to get more context.
Contact Support: If the issue persists, consider contacting Power BI or Jupyter support for further assistance.
The error message “Failed to load model class” is typically associated with issues in the code or environment, rather than licensing restrictions. Are you currently in a debugging phase or in a production environment?
For development testing, you can use free embed trial tokens with a Pro license. To embed in a production environment, you must use a capacity.
Best Regards,
Gao
