hi all,
I have a power bi file which pulls data from the remote SQL server, and does some minimal ETL locally.
The model isn't big - 1m rows, flat table.
Typically, it would take 2-5min to refresh data.
Suddenly, it takes hours and consumes all CPU power, so I can't do anything else without risking it to crash.
Nothing major changed recently in ETL: I have added 2 groupby's.
First I thought it's to do with internet speed - tested it elsewhere, same story.
Rebooted repeatedly both PBI and the laptop.
Cleared cash.
Then I opened a query which is a date table, it does not use server data.
And Power Query won't evaluate even the first line which is DateTime.Localnow(). I mean, I waited 10min and gave up.
There seems to be a fundamental problem with M engine.
Any clues???
