Hi Sirs,
I'm struggling trying to create a new table/query in Power Query that gives me the correct output for this scenario:
From a Table 1.
| Year | Month |
| 2023 | 1 |
| 2023 | 2 |
And a Table 2:
| Year | Amount |
| 2023 | 1000 |
| 2023 | 1500 |
The expected output is: I need a Table 3 from use of Table1 and Table2.
| Year | Month | Amount |
| 2023 | 1 | 1000 |
| 2023 | 1 | 1500 |
| 2023 | 2 | 1000 |
| 2023 | 2 | 1500 |
I really appreciate any solution or light you could give me. 🙂
My kindest regards.
@inlam , You can use the Merge option in Power Query
Merge Tables (Power Query) : https://youtu.be/zNrmbagO0Oo
Code of merged table
let
Source = Table.NestedJoin(#"Table 1", {"Year"}, #"Table 2", {"Year"}, "Table 2", JoinKind.Inner),
#"Expanded Table 2" = Table.ExpandTableColumn(Source, "Table 2", {"Year", "Amount"}, {"Table 2.Year", "Table 2.Amount"})
in
#"Expanded Table 2"
