Hi,
I have grouped measures together using field parameters and gave measures each a sub heading so they can be grouped appropriately in a slicer.
Unfortunately when using the sub header in a matrix the sub heading is repeated across all measures rather than grouping them together per the grouping declared in the field parameter query.
I also separated the groupings into their own field parameter query to try use the matrix per the grouping in each field parameter query however the same thing happened.
Problem - it doesn't recognise the groupings within the matrix when used as columns within the visual. It repeats the measures for each sub grouping.
@Anonymous , For such measure grouping prefer Calculation groups. You can create additional column in calc group table.
Calculation groups can be created in Power BI Desktop, new version from Model View
Refer this old video for measure grouping: https://youtu.be/qMNv67P8Go0
How to create calculation group using Power BI Desktop - https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/deep-dive-into-the-model-explorer-with-calculation-group-authoring-and-creating-relationships-in-the-properties-pane/
Since i want to group measures which have the same calculation however under different headings calculation groups + field parameters doesn't work.
I just tried this with calculation groups and added the calculation group columns as columns in a matrix and used field parameters to switch between measures, unfortunately only one sub heading exists when i do this?
