Power BI service refresh intervals options
Hello,
When I apload my report to service, and asked to select a refresh time most of the times I can select a minimum of 30 minutes, by selecting 10:00, 10:30, 11:00 and so on. But there are seldom times where I am able to select every 15 minutes, I want to know if this is random or on which factors is it dependent on.
Hii Tiyani
It’s not random. The refresh interval options you see depend mainly on workspace capacity and dataset type. In Shared (Pro) capacity, scheduled refresh slots are limited and usually show 30-minute intervals due to capacity load management. 15-minute refresh intervals appear only when the dataset is in Premium capacity (P-SKU / Fabric capacity) or when the dataset supports Auto Page Refresh / DirectQuery scenarios. Availability can also vary temporarily based on capacity load and throttling, which is why you sometimes see 15 minutes and sometimes don’t.
