Hello ,
I have a power BI dataset that retrives data from Azure SQL database and sharepoint excel file .. The dataset is scheduled for refresh overnight and it normally takes around 6-12 minutes to refresh .
But all of a sudden the scheduled data refreshes are failing with following error after around 4 hrs
" Microsoft SQL: Execution Timeout Expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.. The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. "
There is no issue while connecting to the Azure SQL database or the sharepoint excel from power bi desktop. I have checked this already. Howvere refresh doesn't work in PBI service or in PBI desktop.
What could be the reason for this ? Can anyone give pointers for trouble shooting this ?
Thanks
Kalyani
Hi @Anonymous
This is because refreshes timeout after 2 Hours for Pro License and after 5 Hours in Premium License.
Please accept this as a solution if your Question has been answered !!
Appreciate a Kudos 😀
