Power BI not loading excel file propery duplicating and misarranged

Hello,

Anyone encountered a problem when loading data from excel to power bi duplicated and misarranged?

In excel file there are 200 rows and no duplicate values, everything arranged ascending.

Then I load up to power bi and it looks duplicated and misarranged. So I go to power query in power bi and everything is not duplicated, arranged properly but at first there are only 49 rows and when I click on the slider the rest of 150 rows load up?

When I accept my changes everything looks the same - duplicates everywhere and misarranged.

Please help, I can drop my file somewhere, below screenshots from excel, power bi power query and power bi

Excel file:

Power bi query:

as you can see only 49 rows, when I touch slider it loads up every 50 rows until it gets to 199. Still its ascending no duplicates

After close and apply

misarranged, not asceding, mess.

What is wrong with this file?

You could sort by TransID if rows are added later, I presume they get a TransID? You can do this in Power Query also, but for creating visuals, it doesn't mattr what order they are in the table visual. The visual will automatically sort numerical, dates and text asc or desc

Sorry for misleading = there are no duplicates, its notoriously misarranged

Hi @MarekMarecki

Do you mean that the dates are not in order?

It is possible to sort them in the table view, just click on the arrow at the column name and sort.

when you add the date to a visual it will automatically sort by date. Presuming the Trans Date is formatted as date.

hope this helps

Joe

Hello Joe,

The problem is that when my excel file contained 49 rows it was by default sorted in power bi  table view in asceding order

Unfortunately, when I added another 150 rows - its by default as it is unsorted as in my initial post. Is it possible to make it by default sorted from 1 to 199 in table view?
