Power BI is not returning same date as Power BI Query editor

In Power Query I am able to see date as 12/31/1899 however in Power BI report I am able to see it as 2/6/2036 . Expected date is 12/31/1899 as in the backend its same.

format of this column is Date/Time format. I have deselected Auto time/date intelligence.
Can you please help me ?

Issue is resolved! column was in Date time format due to which PBI was not able to store it properly as for every date it will convert into decimal. 

I changed the format to Date in query editor after which it start showing correct data in PBI report view as well.

It's not really what i want to see. I want to see the row in Power Query and the row in powerbi table view.

I then want to see the visual (and know what's in it because we're then looking at aggregations).

31/12/1899 is a special date 'base' date in Power query which can represent null dates so that will be involved in the story too

And what is the data source? What does the date for this row look like there?

I am sceptical that it is the same date.

Show us the row in Power Query and show us the visual in powerbi.
