Power BI downloads wrong instance of desktop app

I recently got a new laptop for work, and so I logged into our on-prem Power BI instance and downloaded the Power BI Desktop app.

 

However, the problem is, it downloads the Jan 2022 version of the app.  Our Power BI instance is Jan 2021 - and so of course, reports that I create with the app cannot be uploaded to the instance - it says they were created in a version that is too new.

 

It would be incredibly helpful if the download link in the instance actually pointed to a compatable version of the app.
