Power BI date "between" slicer where the default is today but the slicer still is fully operational

I'm surprised that this isn't a simple thing.  I've looked at a lot of videos, walkthroughs and accepted messages where a calculated column is created for the "default" month or year in a "list" slicer, but it doesn't look like there's a way to have a date "between" slicer that defaults to today where that slicer is still fully operational with all dates in the range.

 

Is this possible?

@Anonymous , this might be possible if the data that the slicer is based on is updated daily. Otherwise only way to have a field change dynamically is by using a measure and measures can not be a used in a slicer.

I wanted the start and end date of the "between" slicer to be the "max" date of the campaign table - so it would show the most recent campaign activity in the table.  

@Anonymous , An additional date table can be created with the help of calender function.
