Hi,
Please can you tell me how to link Power BI databases between 2 different departments? (e.g. the sales data is compiled in a finance department Power BI database and then a marketing database somehow receives this information as a table in their own database)
Currently the marketing department has to manually log into the finance department database, export a table visualisation to excel and then save the excel file in their own Power BI database.
Thanks,
CM

Hi @CloudMonkey,
In my opinion, you can import these databases to same power bi report, then create a transfer table to link two different source.(if current not contains these tables)
For example:
database 1: 'Item A','Item B'
database 2: 'item a','item b'
Transfer table:
Index, Desc A, Desc B 1, 'Item A','item a' 2, 'Item B','item b'
After finish create above transfer table, you can use it to link two database.(relationships: 'Desc A 'to database AND tables, 'Desc B' to database B tables)
