Hello:
I have been tasked moving a dashboard from another desktop Viz software to Power BI
I have one Viz/Chart and do not know where to start
Looks like this:
We have persons on the Y axis and dates of "events" on the X.
The Box respesent "events" could be sales or teaching a class.
the relationship is person (Y axis) did something or is scheduled to do something.
Requirements included hovering over box to give count of sale and sum of sales.
Which Power BI viz would handle this?
Many thanks for your kind assistance.

Hi @KBD
Check the Gantt charts like the manual from the matrix :

Or from a marketplace:

Or with deneb :

Hi, @KBD
Maybe you can use gantt visual. Here is a sample table:
In the Visualizations panel, click the three dots (More Options) and select Get more visuals. Search for Gantt Chart and add it to your report.
Drag the Gantt Charter visualization onto the report canvas and assign the fields. Here is my preview:

In the end I went with a Matrix. The left columns are the static data, the Person ( the student or drive)
and then the grid is the count of classes or trips.
I think better than the original cause it give you the count of events in the viz.
Thanks for the suggestions.

This is usually done with custom visuals like Deneb.
