Power BI bug on date time with 23:59:59 not being counted / shown

Our ERP Navision uses the Posting Date field and uses 2023-12-31 23:59:59 to book the ultimo posts of the year in the General Ledger.

Is it normal that all entries with the 23:59:59 are not summarized in a measure? And even in the Table View it's impossible to filter on these rows.

For example i have multiple entries on 2023-12-31 23:59:59 and i can see them in table view when unfiltered.
When i make a date filter between 2023-12-31 23:59 and 2024-01-01 00:04 the rows are gone.

I noticed this as i had a report that really used the date + time field, and the Ultimo bookings where removed from the Measure calculations. (which is really what i need). When i made a new report where i converted the Posting Date to be only a date field, suddenly the Ultimo bookings where used in my measures.

Is this known bug, that 23:59:59 rows are not being counted/ used / shown?

Hi @joris-kempen ,

Based on the information, this is not a known issue, you can filter the date and time columns separately.

Besides, can't filter the time by slicer.

I have not seen any time where 23:59:59 rows are not being counted/ used / shown. As suggested by @Kedar_Pande  try splitting the column and then check.

A good approach would be to:

Split the Posting Date into two fields: one for date and one for time.
Use the date field for filtering or aggregation, and the time field only when necessary for finer detail.

If this helped, a Kudos 👍 or Solution mark would be great! 🎉
