Hi Team,

I have created table, column and partitions in a Tabular model but I can not see that in my PowerDesktop open file but when I check it is available in Analysis service database. Am I missing something while creating this objects. Whaever I have created it is in another database so anybody know how to configure newly created database to the report open Powerbi desktop.

Have you changed the published Power BI model from the backend? If yes, use a file connected to the semantic model, the import file will not have it.

If you modified the model of the desktop file using some tool, then refreshing should update the model.

If it's an SSAS model outside of Power BI, refreshing should load the new changes, assuming they are committed to the model.

    Hi Anonymous

First of all, you should make sure that you are connecting to the Correct Database:

       1. Open Power BI Desktop.
       2. Go to the 'Home' tab and click on 'Get Data'.
       3. Choose 'Azure' > 'SQL Server Analysis Services' (even if it's not Azure, this option works for Analysis Services).
       4. Enter the server name and select the correct database from the dropdown list that appears once you've entered the server details. If you don't see the database, make sure you've got the correct server and that the database is properly deployed and accessible.

Then you should check these points:

Ensure that the user account you are using to connect to the Analysis Services database has the necessary permissions to view the objects you've created.

If you've connected to the database before but it's not showing the new objects, you might need to refresh the connection.
In the 'Home' tab, click on 'Refresh' to refresh the data in your report. If this doesn't work, you may need to remove and re-add the data source.

Sometimes Power BI Desktop caches the metadata of the connected databases. Try closing and reopening Power BI Desktop to refresh the cache.
