Power BI Slicer Options

Hi Team,

hope, i knew that what i am looking will not work as the the possibilities we have in Power BI.

But just want to check with you, if i missed and have possiblity to enable it would be great for me to explore.

What i am looking is,

Have a date slicer in my report like below on Power BI desktop

i can click on filter type option on below and select as relative date option and get the slicer like below

So here, if i keep slicer as between and publish i can see only between option and can't change the filter type to Relative date.

if i keep relative date and published to service, there i can't chage to between.. want to change it based on user choice in power Bi serice as well...so will it be possible or not?

if possible, what options should i enable it on Power Bi desktop file to change accordingly filter type on service as well.

Thanks so much for your kind help and support.

Thanks,

Lavan

Hi @lavankumar1989a

Please correct me if I wrongly understood your problem .

You said you cannot change the type for date slicer in Power BI Service ? If you set ‘Relative Date’ for date slicer in Desktop and publish it to Service , you cannot change the type to ‘Between’ , right ?

But I restore the scene you said ,I can change the type for the date slicer .In my sample ,I create a date slicer with ‘Relative Date’ in Desktop ,then publish it to Service .I find the report that I published before and edit it in Service, then change the type .You can see the screenshot below .
