Power BI Report unique link issue

Hello,

I need help! Can someone please assist me.

So my colleague sent me a BI report customised it to a layout I required and saved it in my favourites and this was working for months but then this week there was an error when i tried to RUN it. She hasn't changed much in the report which means my version should not have changed. We think the issue might be the link path? because she re-did the report, send me a new link and it worked - i saved a version and revisited it and it worked

So my question is why did the Original link become un accessible or i could not run.. Please help me resolve this. I just want to be able to just keep one original link instead of my collegue keep making new links..

Error:

Hi @ATSIKA

Please make sure that your colleague has not mistakenly deleted the original link or changed your permissions to the report.

Hi @ATSIKA -you check with your colleague that the report is not being frequently re-published or moved, as this would necessitate new links each time.might be changes the link if the report is modified, re-published, or if the workspace settings are changed. check on if the report was re-published, the original link might no longer point to the same version of the report.suppose , report was moved to a different workspace, the original link could break, and a new one would need to be generated.best practices should keep the report in a stable workspace and avoid unnecessary re-publishing.If the issue persists even with the new link, it may be worth investigating further with your Power BI administrator to ensure that there aren't any underlying issues with how the report is being managed or shared.

Hope the above information helps.

Thank you for your response @rajendraongole1 .

My colleague said that her report has stayed where it has been since she created it in Query Designer and my versions were just browser links..

I am not too sure why this is happening even when she has not modified/re-published or change to a different workspace.
