Power BI Premium Capacity (e.g., P1) – Pricing & User Access
1. Pricing (as of June 2025):
- Power BI Premium P1 SKU is typically priced at around $4,995 USD per month.
- Pricing may vary by region and is billed monthly. For the most up-to-date pricing, check the official Microsoft page: Power BI Pricing.
2. How many users can access shared reports?
- There is no fixed user limit for viewing reports shared via Premium Capacity.
- Any number of users (free or Pro) within your organization can access reports in a Premium workspace, as long as your capacity resources (CPU/memory) are sufficient.
- Only users publishing or creating reports need a Power BI Pro license; viewers can be on free licenses.
Capacity Considerations:
- While there’s no hard user cap, performance depends on your organization’s usage patterns, report complexity, and concurrent users.
- If you consistently reach capacity limits or experience slowdowns, you can scale up to higher SKUs (P2, P3, etc.).
