Situation: Need to create a geomap chart on Power BI. The chart needs to have custom boundaries based on a combination of postcode sectors. And the ability to plot geocode locations with latitude and longitude.
I was able to create a KMZ file for this.
I have already tried these.
Shpaemaps: don't work as intended as the data is too large and on top of the custom boundaries I need to have the mapping for latitude and longitude locations. Along with general mapping available like road maps and others.
ARCGs - They are too slow as they have to identify the postcode sectors for mapping.
Google maps: They need a payment details provided and is not feasible currently.
Filled maps : Creating custom boundaries is the issue for this one.
Azure: Maps - Do not have access to azure services
Does anyone have a solution for this?
Hi @Ioannis
Thank you for your response. This solution is amazing, this could have worked but I need to plot locations that change every day as well. I do not believe this would be viable for me on this scenario.
Thanks,
Jothish
If you need dynamic locations on the plot, you should go with the Python Visual solution. Not sure which package is the most suitable for your case, but here is an example.
Hi @jothish ,
You can upload an image of your map here and create your custom map accordingly. Then by importing the Synoptic Panel visual from the Appsource .
I hope that helps! Let me know if you need any guidance.
Best wishes,
Ioannis
