Power BI Map Visualization help
I got a request to create a power bi map that is a heat map based on zip code and count of stores. But the user would like to zoom in, and as they zoom in, it converts from a heat map to a bar chart layer showing the count of stores. They were also hoping to be able to use rectangle select, where they click and drag a rectangle onto the spot they want to zoom in on.
Is this possible in power bi?
Which visualization allows for this functionality
Is there a how-to video or guide on where to put the attributes or what settings have to be enabled?
I see ArcGIS maps have some of the features I am looking for but not sure how to implement using that visual.
Check out the April 2026 Power BI update to learn about new features.
If you have recently started exploring Fabric, we'd love to hear how it's going. Your feedback can help with product improvements.
