Hi,
I have made some maps in PowerBI - plotting locations onto a basemap.
I would like to use these maps in PowerPoint, and would like to export the image as separate vectors so that I can manipulate the basemap and the locations separately.
Is there a way to copy or export to, say, a metafile format that can be decomposed into its layer elements?
Thanks..
Hi @mdar ,
Based on your description, it seems like you want to get a map visual that you can manipulate, but if you use Export reports to PowerPoint or Copy a report visualization as an image, you will get a static image and you can't get a metafile to manipulate it.
Export to PowerPoint
Copy visual as an image
Maybe you can consider using Analyze in excel to bring the dataset into excel. Then refer to the link below to create a map and see if it meets your needs later.

In addition, you can raise a new idea and add your comments there to make this feature coming sooner.
Best Regards
@mdar , As far as I know, that will be an image. You have a download in ppt option in power bi service. And on the desktop, you can take screenshots.
Hi - thanks, what I absolutely don't want is screenshots. I want the different layers as different image elements... thanks!
