Power BI Filter Search Function

Hi All,

 

I've noticed something strange in the Search possibility in slicers/filters in PowerBI service and Desktop.

Now I've received this question from multiple report users, so I would like to know what causes this behaviour.

 

When I search for a name in a slicer ex. 
Projectname : "This is project xyz 123"

--> without clicking anything, i will see 1 project appear. 

 

When I search for 

Projectname : "This is project xyz"
--> No result appears. 

 

Why would this happen ? 

 

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
