Power BI Desktop SSAS Tabular Model via live connection blocking other users to access the server

Hi All,

I have developed a dashboard using connect live option and my dashboard is working fine.

But when i connect to the server my server is not available for other resources but still my dashboard is working.

In SQL profiler trace its showing that sassion initiated  but not ending. Please find the enclosed image for your refference. 

My Data source is SSAS tabular cube.

Any help will be appriciated.

Hi @Anonymous,

Please check on SSAS side whether the maximum worker threads used by Analysis Services was limited. Reference:

Limit resources for SSAS processing

Thread Pool Properties

Besides, after connecting to SSAS from Power BI desktop, check if there is any detailed error propmted when you connect to Analysis Service on SSMS client.
