Power BI Desktop Refresh All - Not Updating data in Power Query
- Anonymous1 year ago
Hi Chipsnump ,
Thanks for the reply from danextian / Akash_Varuna .
When you click “Refresh” in Power BI Desktop, the data in the data model is refreshed, while the preview data in the Power Query editor remains as previously cached.
The preview data is not updated automatically, you need to manually click “Refresh Preview” in the Power Query Editor to update the preview for a specific query.
Best Regards,
Yang

Hi Chipsnump
That's just how the query editor behaves - what you're seeing is the cached version. Have you checked in table/data view if the udpated data is actually loaded?

Yes, I did. The updating status showed successfully update, but when I go to power query, the table is sometimes outdated. So, I have to update it manually both in power query and power bi.
