I have a premium per user license, PP3 and it will not let me activate in the options on the desktop. Is there another service that I need?

Hi @rbame ,
Based on the description, to use Copilot in Power BI Desktop, you need admin, member, or contributor access to at least a single workspace that is assigned to a paid Fabric capacity (F64 or higher) or Power BI Premium capacity (P1 or higher) that has Copilot enabled.

as a small company on what are the min costs / reqs for power bi with copilot?
Thanks
Ok, so I need to add an additional $4995 service to add a P1 capacity to use Copilot in powerbi?
I have PP3 capacity assigned to my workspace.
Hi @rbame -To activate Copilot for Power BI, having a Premium Per User (PPU) license is typically not sufficient on its own. You also need access to a workspace that is in a Premium capacity (P1 or above) or Fabric capacity (F64 or higher). This is essential for enabling Copilot, both in Power BI Desktop and in the Power BI service.
Premium Per User (PPU) licenses do support Power BI Copilot, but it is crucial that your workspace is assigned to Premium Per User capacity.
Copilot is often part of preview features. To ensure it's enabled:
Verify that Copilot is available in your region. Some features, including AI-powered tools like Copilot, might not yet be rolled out to all regions.
