Power BI - Date in Data type

My Date column has Data type "Date" in transform data: JorgeRodGom_1-1693822032046.png

However, when it comes to the Data in the report view it does not appear as "Date" :  JorgeRodGom_2-1693822079954.png

Because of this, I cannot filter by quarter, month, year in my visualizations.

How can it be fixed?

Hi @JorgeRodGom ,

Currently, the built-in date hierarchy is not yet available when using DirectQuery mode.

As a workaround, you could create a custom date hierarchy manually. Please create [Year], [Quarter], [Month], [Day] columns first, right-click the original Date column and choose 'New Hierarchy', then, drag [Year], [Quarter], [Month], [Day] columns to place them under [Date] column.

I resolved it by selecting "Import" instead of "Direct Query" under data connectivity mode

Hi!

Even if I create the data hierarchy, I don´t get the day, month, year information:
