Power BI Date Slicer Issue (Shows Full Year 2024)

Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with a date slicer in Power BI. I created the slicer based on a date field in my table. While the maximum date in the field is May 31, 2024, the slicer is showing options for the entire year 2024.

Could you please advise on how to limit the slicer to only show dates available in the data (up to May 31, 2024)?

Hi @Analystmate ,

First of all, many thanks to  for your very quick and effective replies.

Based on my testing, please try the following methods:

1.Create the calendar table.

2.Drag the date field into the slicer visual.

3.Drag the date field into the slicer visual. If selecting the Date Hierarchy, the slicer shows options for the entire year 2024.

I suspect that you are using the built-in date facilities rather than creating a separate Dates table that you can control yourself.  Is that right?
