Power BI Data Refresh Error

Hello,

I am getting this error message when trying to refresh my Power BI data visuals. However I want to make it very clear. This only started to occur when I when into my Microsoft list file and cleared out the data. I did not make any changes to any columns. I simply removed data, and added new data. Looking online I saw that this could be an issue with the type of column but as I mentioned nothing has been changed in that regard.

Hi @Kodonnellm ,

Try manually specifying the data type for each column. Check to see if any of the records cannot be converted. Pay particular attention to records that convert text to date and datetime types.

You can turn on column quality under Preview All Data to check for conversion type errors.

You can also check which column is the problem by converting the columns to text one at a time and then refreshing.

Best Regards,
Gao

That was helpful thank you for that note. However none of my columns are showing any error %. They are either valid or empty.

Hello @Kodonnellm ,

so what I suggest you do is go to this table in Power query and check it there, it should lead you to which column is giving the error.

maybe the error is that there was data added in a certain column that doesn't match the column type.
