Is there a way to connect directly to a plan in Planner. I'd like to be able to set on autorefresh and create my own reporting in BI with the data in Planner.
You still have doubts how to do it? I connected it to Excel and it is automated without using flows...

I have Power BI online from office 365 for government and will soon have the desktop version but we do NOT have Power Automate.
Power bi currently has no direct connector to connect with Power bi, here is an alternative method:
You can use Microsoft Flow to achieve this. Use Flow to push data from Planner to a SharePoint list (one for planning, one for boards, and another for tasks)-then create a report in the connection to the data source via Power BI
