Pivot Table Visual in Power BI?

I'm looking to replicate a pivot table in Excel, mainly the grouping of the table, and struggling to do this with a Matrix visual. Are there any installable visuals or other suggestions to accommodate this? Example of the table in Excel attached.

  • kp_wood13 if you turn off the step layout on the format pane of the matrix visual, it should work.

  • For the Excel-style grouping use case specifically: Power BI's Matrix visual doesn't support manual row grouping like Excel (Ctrl+click to group rows). The standard workaround is creating a grouping column in the data model  but that means going back to Desktop every time a new group is needed.

If the goal is true drag-and-drop pivot with custom groupings that Finance users can adjust themselves in the published report, Flexa Tables (AppSource, Microsoft-certified) handles this directly in Power BI Service. Users restructure rows/columns, add MoM/YoY variance, and manage groupings without Desktop access.
