You will be able to achieve this but you'll need to create some calculated measures which we can help you with.
@Ankitapahuja You say cross table - which I'll assume to be a Matrix with 1 Row [Value] and 1 [Column Field]
1) You can write a Measure like this to calculate the % of Row Total
% of Row Total = DIVIDE ( SUM ( Table1[Value] ), CALCULATE ( SUM ( Table1[Value] ), ALLSELECTED ( Table1[Column Field] ) ), 0 )
OR
2) if this doesn't give you what you want - try the Quick Calc Options in PBI - % of Column Total or % of Grand Total
(you can also verify the above Measure calculates the same as the built-in Calc)
Currently that's all we have built-in - but you can simulate % Of Parent Row (or Column) and all others as Measures
such as these from Excel...
Hope this helps!
Thanks @Sean. This helps. But my major concern for now is with creating Percentage change/growth with respect to previous values in table, for e.g week on week growth.
We have weeks in 1 column and sales in another, how can we calculate week on week growth for them?
Thanks in advance.
Which is possible but you'll need to create measures in Power BI. It's easy enough and we are keen to help.
