Partial string search on a Power BI report

Hi all,

Say I am displaying this table in Power BI.

NamePhone
John Doe111-111-1111
Jane Done222-222-2222
Smith John333-333-3333

Is it possible to provide a search box for the name field that let users to type in string such as "John" and the table will return with the lines of "John Doe" and "Smith John"?  How can it be done?

Thanks.

For your selector, you would use the SEARCH or FIND functions.

@Greg_Deckler I think your solution probably will work.  But, I am not too familiar with "Measure", thinking that is more related to time/geography based hierarchy.  @camargos88 solution is easier for me to understand.  Thanks for sharing!

Yes, you would want what I refer to as a complex selector. I will attach examples. Basically, it is a measure that returns 1 or 0 based upon whatever condition you specify. It is based on Inverse Selector.
