I am trying to figure out a way to have a filtered map visualization and pie chart interact with a matrix visualization partially.
I have rows of data by date with coordinates. In the matrix, the dates are the columns. The map and pie chart are both filtered to the top 1 date to only show the latest records. When data on the map or pie chart are selected, the interactions cause the matrix visual to be restricted to the latest date as well. I would like the date interaction to NOT filter the matrix, but still filter for the selected category or coordinates. Is that possible?
A (very) simplified example is here.
Normally it looks like this:
When I make selections on the map or pie chart, the interactions filter the matrix like this:
I would like it to be like this, if for example Category C was selected:
So that it shows all dates, but only the selected category or location.
Is this possible? I'm hoping there's a workaround with measures!

Hi @ELW ,
Consider creating a new Date table and using it as a column in a matrix:
Then please crate this measure and use it as matrix's value:
Measure =
VAR __cur_date = SELECTEDVALUE('Date'[Date])
VAR __result = CALCULATE(SUM('Table'[Value]), 'Table'[Date]=__cur_date,ALLEXCEPT('Table','Table'[Category]))
RETURN
__result
