Hi all,
as I just got updated by the MS that it has released the PBI report builder (which feels like MS is going back to the SSRS days) for the paginated reports, can somebody tell be what is the paginated report, the differences between paginated and regular PBI reports and how to connect oracle database to the report builder?
I provided the datasource name and credentials but it is showing error! Is there any specific format for that?
The error says there is no oracle data extension is installed 😕 Where to get that?
I don't know if this one is the right area to submit my question as I could not find the proper section for the report builder, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
K3
MS is throwing around the idea to open up publishing reports builder (RDL) files for PRO users. Currently this is only available for premium which is such a bummer. Vote here https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/37913800-allow-pro-users-to-publi...
I found out that if you connect to your Power BI dataset on the cloud, you have to use Power BI report builder not SQL server builder, or I got the same error message. But my problem is it doesn't allow me upload the RDL file.
My understanding is you will need to get and assign a premium capacitor for your workspace and this will require a premium license for a power bi pro user.
