Paginated Report not showing column headers

Hi,

I have a paginated report set up as per below:

mp390988_0-1755264547080.png

When I run the report, for some strange reason i get missing field headers as highlighted in yellow in snapshot below:

I have no idea at all why this is happening.

Does anyone know?

Thank You

To fix missing column headers in your paginated report:
- Go to Row Groups → Advanced Mode
- Select the static header row
- Set RepeatOnNewPage = True and KeepWithGroup = After
- Make sure visibility is not hidden
- Avoid page breaks that split headers

Hi @mp390988

This is AI generated and unvalidated, but I hope it helps:

Possible Causes of Missing Field Headers

  1. Visibility Settings

    • Check if the header row has conditional visibility set (e.g., Hidden = True based on an expression).
    • Sometimes headers are hidden on certain pages due to expressions tied to parameters or page numbers.
  2. RepeatOnNewPage Property

    • In tablix or matrix reports, ensure the header row has RepeatOnNewPage = True.
    • Also check KeepWithGroup settings — it should be set to After for the header row to stay with the data group.
  3. Page Breaks

    • If you have page breaks set on groups, they can sometimes cause headers to disappear if not configured correctly.
    • Try removing or adjusting page breaks and see if the issue persists.
  4. Rendering Issues

    • Some rendering formats (PDF, Excel, etc.) behave differently. Try running the report in different formats to see if the issue is consistent.
  5. Report Layout

    • If the headers are part of a separate textbox or rectangle outside the tablix, they might not repeat across pages.

 Steps to Fix

  1. Open the report in Report Builder.
  2. Select the tablix or matrix.
  3. Go to the Row Groups pane.
  4. Right-click the static row (header), choose Properties.
  5. Set:
    • RepeatOnNewPage = True
    • KeepWithGroup = After
  6. Check visibility expressions and remove any that might hide the header.
  7. Preview the report again.
