Hi there! I have a paginated report for which I am having trouble filtering group totals. I have a table with the blue rows below which filter out "Corporate" and "Comp" which are totaled separately in green below.
Both blue and green filter fine but I cannot get the Transient Total (red box) to filter to include the blue rows only except via expression which gets clunky with some of the more involved portions of this report.
I tried adding an adjacent group similar to "Corporate" and "Comp" in green but even after hiding individual rows which filter correctly, the total still does NOT filter. I also tried grouping by same upstream group (Month) and filtering by desired "mapping" as shown in second screenshot but the total does not filter
Is there any way to accomplish this with Groups/Totals rather than expression?
Thank you in advance!
These filters work for the individual rows (blue) but do NOT work for the Transient Total (red)
Hi @reports123 ,
When setting up your filters, especially for totals, ensure you're using aggregate functions that align with the filtering criteria. This might require adjusting your expressions slightly to ensure they aggregate correctly for the totals.
Below is the official link will help you:
Another approach could involve using parameters in your report to control the visibility of certain groups or totals based on user selection. This can sometimes offer a more dynamic way to manage what data is included in totals without directly modifying the dataset or expressions.
