PBIR format publishing
The new PBIR format is great compared to .pbip without it which is relatively unusable for working in a team:
- the report spec is kept in a single report.json file
- the configs in the json file are long code walls and very difficult to read and edit
Having the publish button disabled is unfortunate. I can't see any technical reason why it wouldn't be enabled.
The workaround of fabric git integration doesn't work for us and the process is a lot more difficult than a single click to publish.
(Take for example RStudio, it has git integration for Shiny and publishing with a single click for years).
So we aren't using PBIR format in our team and are continuing to not have proper version control 😓
Any idea when the publish button will be enabled?

The PBIR format is a preview feature, there will be some limitations on the functionality, you can refer to the following link, and the problems you mentioned may be optimized in the official version.
