PBI template and Database connectivity
I have an issue when sharing a Power BI template with business team members.
I created a Power BI report with parameters, with a connection to our SQL server using an import method with a Native Database Query.
I then exported the report as a Power BI template.
When I run the template, I get asked for the parameters and the connection is made and everything works as expected.
However when I share the Power BI template with another user, they enter the parameters as requested and then the credentials screen pops up and the user needs to enter the database username and password.
In this case I don't want the user to enter the credentials(as they won't have it) but instead it should work the way it works for me, i.e. report should run with the prompt for fb credentials.
is there a way I can embed the credentials so business users can see what I see?

The pbix file and pbit file will not be stored with credentials. When you first connect to the data source by power bi desktop , The credential for the data source are stored on the machine which have the .pbix created C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop\User.zip. So when you open pbix file on your machine, you don't need to edit credential again.

So when you open pbix file on your machine, you don't need to edit credential again.
